Linguini with Bacon, Chicken and Cream Sauce
An easy, quick but super flavorful pasta dish that incorporates sauteed onion, bacon, wine, cream and chicken with a linguini pasta, topped with parmesan cheese.
RECIPE
Yield: 3 to 4 servings
Ingredients:
2 Grilled Chicken Breasts, seasoned and sliced
5 slices of Bacon chopped
1 onion thinly sliced
1 lb pasta of your choice
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup white wine
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp olive oil
4 cloves of garlic (or 4 frozen cubes)
1/2 lb grated parmesan cheese
2 tsp salt divided
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Directions:
Boil a pot of water for your pasta over medium high heat.
While you wait for the water to boil, warm the butter and olive oil in a large skillet. Once hot, add in the sliced onions and bacon and cook until onions are tender and bacon is cooked through.
Add garlic to onion mixture and cook down. Pour in white wine to deglaze pan and let alcohol cook down for about 4 or 5 minutes. Add black pepper, nutmeg and salt and stir to combine.
Pour in heavy cream and grilled chicken and stir until heated through. Add cooked (drained) pasta and continue stirring over medium heat until sauce is incorporated well.
Serve with crusty bread and enjoy!
