Sausage Bowtie Pasta with Garlic Butter & Parmesan
Our first meal ever cooked at The Petite French Ranch (our Airbnb) —a simple yet comforting dish full of flavor and heart.

Ingredients
• 1 lb mild Italian ground sausage
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 red onion, finely diced
• 3–4 cloves fresh garlic, crushed or finely minced
• 1 tsp dried poultry seasoning
• Salt and fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
• 1/2 to 3/4 cup heavy cream, depending on taste
• 1 lb bowtie pasta (farfalle)
• ½ cup fresh grated parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
2. Sauté the Aromatics:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the diced red onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened and lightly caramelized.
3. Brown the Sausage:
Add the ground sausage to the skillet. Cook, breaking it up as it browns, until fully cooked through and slightly crispy at the edges (about 8–10 minutes).
4. Add Garlic & Seasoning:
Stir in the crushed garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Sprinkle in the poultry seasoning, a pinch of salt, and plenty of black pepper.
5. Add Cream:
Stir in the heavy cream and warm all the way through for a few minutes while stirring.
6. Toss It All Together:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and gently toss to coat in the sausage and garlic butter mixture.
7. Finish with Cheese:
Remove from heat and stir in the grated parmesan. Serve hot, topped with extra cheese if desired.
ENJOY!!!
